Kathryn Para
|
 |
Kathryn ("Rhyme Time" Story Time) has found parenthood to be a license to be creative and silly. She has rediscovered a talent and an love for engaging young children that her parents insist was there when she was a babysitting teen. Constantly adding new songs or poems to her repertoire, Kathryn learns and tweaks familiar songs and poems to make them more engaging, or feeds her soul by creating entirely new songs or poems for her kiddos. She adds them to her bag of “toddle tricks” and pulls one out when she is in need of toddler redirection. Finding inspiration everywhere, Kathryn was especially influenced by a weekly story time at the Wise Willow in downtown Annapolis (now closed). She has held story times in a variety of venues, such as at Crofton Yoga, UUCA, birthday parties, and countless impromptu moments during playdates or kiddo adventures. Often hearing from friends that they have been helped by using her little toddle tricks, Kathryn has created the Rhyme Time class with the hope of sharing with more parents.
