Dress Code

Recommended Dress Code Why do we have a dress code? A dress code helps the teacher be able to see the students alignment and positioning. Baggy clothing can mask bad habits, making corrections impossible. A dress code will also teach students discipline, helping with over all focus and energy.  By "dressing the part," dancers feel like dancers. The  dress code can also create unity among the students. Dress codes go a long way in minimizing distractions, and help give classes a unified look.  If you prefer not to purchase clothing online,you can go to " Dance Supplies Etc".  They will have our dress code on file and will be able to help you find what you need. Musical Theatre and Acting: Performing Arts For Preschoolers:  Any comfortable fitting clothes.  Jr. Musical Theatre Girls:  Black Jazz shoes,  a  leotard or fitted t-shirt and black fitted Jazz pants, leggings or shorts. Hair must be pulled back from face . No dresses or Jeans.  Suggested leotard: MI201C Mirella Camisole Leotard  Boys: Black Jazz Shoes, t-shirt and  soccer shorts or Jazz pants. No Jeans Musical Theatre 1 - Musical Theatre 3  Girls:  Black Jazz shoes,  a  leotard and black fitted Jazz pants or shorts. Hair must be pulled back from face . No dresses or Jeans suggested leotard: MI201C Mirella Camisole Leotard  Boys: Black Jazz Shoes, t-shirt and  soccer shorts or Jazz pants. No Jeans Acting Any comfortable fitting clothing.

Ballet and Modern: Tiny Toes - Ballet 2 Girls:  Pink leather ballet shoes and a Light Blue Mirella leotard. You can choose from MI201C Mirella Camisole Leotard and MI515C Mirella Cap Sleeve Leotard but it must be in Light Blue. Ballet Pink  tights are optional. Hair must be pulled back from face. Boys: White or black ballet shoes, a light blue or white tank top or t-shirt and  soccer shorts. Ballet 3 -  Ballet 5 Girls:  Pink leather ballet shoes and a Royal Blue Mirella leotard. You can choose from MI201L Mirella Camisole Leotard in Royal Blue and M514L Mirella Cap Sleeve Leotard in Marine color. Ballet Pink tights and Hair must be up in a bun or ponytail. Mirella Ballet Skirt in Royal Blue Optional or ballet shorts Knit Shorts Boys: White or black ballet shoes, a Royal blue or black tank top or t-shirt and  soccer shorts.
