My private voice lessons will give you or your child one-on-one attention with a professional voice teacher. I will work with the student to develop and strengthen their vocal placement, breathing, posture, support, and projection. Each student will be given the basic vocal instruction they need as well as providing a challenging curriculum for more advanced students. Lessons will include some ear training and development of a repertoire including Musical Theater, classical, and pop.

Ages: 5-7
This introduction to ballet class is designed for the older student beginning to learn basic ballet steps, as well as etiquette. Students spend time stretching on the floor to increase flexibility and strength, and then execute proper barre technique with an emphasis on alignment. While not discouraging personal expression and the joy of movement, students learn locomotive and non-locomotive movements in the center.

This is a supplementary class for Ballet 2, Ballet 1 or Pre-Ballet. Students who are beginning to learn basic steps as well as etiquette, will be introduced to the joys of performing. Students will be learning classical steps from the ballet repertoire, as well as the traditional ballet stories. Students will be asked to perform with the upper division performance companies, and will be given the chance to perform an extra dance during Recital. This class should be taken in conjunction with Ballet 2, Ballet 1 or Pre-Ballet.

The second year of the formal ballet class contains more emphasis on skill development and control. In this year, the student not only builds upon previous learning with new steps and movements, but also develops the vocabulary that coincides with the movements. Students must complete the first and second year ballet classes before enrolling in this class. Focusing on technique on the barre and in the center, this class will prepare the student for pointe work. Leg alignment, muscle and bone strength are a focus, and the student should also be exploring other facets of dance, such as musical theatre dance and tap or jazz, in order to become a well-rounded performer. The student becomes eligible for demi-pointe shoes, which prepares the legs and feet for pointe work. Student must take three classes a week to maintain strength, flexibility, alignment, and the technical vocabulary necessary to succeed.

This class is the perfect preparation for private voice lessons. Students will also have the opportunity to sing in duos, trios, and quartets. Children will learn excellent vocal habits that they can take into adulthood for healthy, easy and beautiful voice production. Lessons will include some ear training and development of a repertoire including Musical Theater, classical, and pop. (Class size limited to 8 students.)

ages 10-18 This class is designed for the children who love musical theatre and would like to gain more experience with dancing. We will be learning set warm-ups to help with flexibility, strength, and ease of movement. Basic jazz, tap, and ballet forms will be implemented into how one would perform in different musical theater shows. The students will be taught small combinations from a show for each month as a way of integrating the movements learned in class with singing and acting.

ages 10 - 18 Welcome to tap dancing! This class is great for either first-time tappers, or those who have had a bit more experience. The purpose is to work on clarity and overall musicality. The class will include a set warm up based on the techniques of Matt Maddox and Lynn Simonson, focusing on balance, core strength, flexibility and agility. We will work on learning the core skills of Jazz dance such as quick foot work and various pirouettes/turns. The class will conclude with a combination focused on learning the particular style we are studying for the week (ie-Broadway and Contemporary Jazz), and will work to improve self confidence and performance quality.
