Workshops:
Musical Theatre Vocal Audition Workshop Description: This musical theater workshop is designed to prepare students for their middle school, high school, college, community or professional musical auditions. Students can bring their audition material received from their director, or any song they can use at community/ professional theater auditions. This workshop will address everything from research of character, vocal technique, the importance of connecting to the song through imaging, as well as audition techniques, and what to wear. The unique experience of performing a mock audition in front of peers and strangers will provide them with the confidence level to over come the nerves of auditioning in front of an audition panel. Students will also benefit from seeing examples of other students auditioning and reinforcing the techniques learned by applying them to comments of others’ performances. Please bring the instrumental version of your music on a CD, a notebook, pen and bottle of water. If you can not find the instrumental version of your song or are having trouble picking a song, please feel free to email me at info@artspaceschool.com and I will help you. All songs must be memorized prior to attending the workshop.
